Gutenberg is the new WordPress editor, replacing the original classic editor.
Even though Gutenberg comes with new exciting features, making it much easier to write a blog.
But I have encountered a strange issue. The Gutenberg button does not open up in a new tab!
There is an option to open up a hyperlink in a new tab, but the button does not. It is very annoying if you are writing an affiliate blog. Obviously, you would want your affiliate link to open up in a new
Below, I am noting down a few steps of How to make a Gutenberg button in a new tab.
Making websites with Gutenberg becomes easier if you use ready made themes. Check out some Gutenberg based themes on Evanto.
1. Firstly, paste your link and click on the enter icon.
2. Then Click on the Three Dots
3. From the dorpdown option, choose “Edit as HTML”
4. After the href attribute, add the code: target=“blank “
5. Click anywhere outside to apply
You might see some weird messages such as “Unexpected or Invalid HTML”, ignore that and see whether the button opens up the link in a new tab or not.

Please use the front-end WordPress editor called Elementor, there are very nice options to make the site mobile responsive. Use backend editors such as Avada’s fusion builder.
