How Highlight Text in Elementor WordPress

Spread the love

Elementor is one of the most popular WordPress page builder, with over 3 million active installs. It is easy to use, tons of functionalities, the pricing is highly competitive. There is almost everything included in the Elementor page builder.

But yet, there is a simple but important option missing in Elementor. That is, you cannot highlight specific texts in Elementor. When you select a line of text within a paragraph, you get the option to BOLD the text, to Italicize the text or to Underline the text. But you do not get any option to highlight the text.

I know that you can bold the text instead of highlighting it, but that does not have the same effect as highlighting a text. This option is very important for copywriters or lawyers to highlight important lines of texts in huge chunks of texts/copy. Also sometimes, the highlighted texts looks quite good, acts like a kind of decorative element.

The method I am going to show to highlight texts in Elementor is not one of the easiest, but it works 100%. You will be able to highlight texts with different types of colors. Here is an example of highlighted text with Elementor.

To highlight the text, I am going to use the following code below.

<span style=”background:#C4E538;”></span>

STEP: 1

STEP: 2

STEP: 3
